About
The CMG-8 is Blue Canyon Technologies’ single-gimbal control moment gyroscope for SmallSats. Provides ~10× the torque of reaction wheels at ~5× less power, enabling rapid satellite agility. Delivers 8 Nm output torque from 8 Nms rotor momentum. Includes integrated vibration isolation and jitter damping. Requires separate control electronics unit. Average power ~15 W.
