SkyBee Thermal Intelligence Solution

SkyBee is an end-to-end thermal intelligence solution that provides trusted thermal measurements proven in orbit. The system is validated by ESA and the European Commission (Copernicus contributing mission partner), ensuring data meets standards for government and defence use. It offers a unique perspective compared to optical and radar sensors by showing activity, stress, anomalies, and change over time through thermal imaging. The current operational phase includes 2 satellites delivering data with 30m resolution thermal imaging (sharpened to 10m), 1.0-1.5 K radiometric accuracy, day and night capability, and a 1.5-day average revisit time. Near-term plans include an expanded satellite constellation, sub-daily revisit for priority regions, enhanced accuracy below 1.0 K, reduced delivery latency, infrastructure monitoring analytics, activity pattern detection, cloud-agnostic deployment, sovereign hosting for government agencies, and multi-domain intelligence integration. Future developments aim for continued constellation expansion, next-generation sensor technology, higher native resolution, tighter radiometric precision, enhanced revisit cycles, and advanced sensor fusion. The solution comprises a mission-specific thermal satellite architecture, a secure ground segment for tasking, downlink, and processing (including a Mission Operation Center and processing pipeline), and an analytics platform utilizing AI models to translate temperature data into insights on behavior, stress, and change.
