DSI Processing Units are based on our advanced computing systems, including highly capable FPGAs, to provide a wide range of data processing and compute functions in-orbit. Processing units can be integrated anywhere needed in the spacecraft data flow to provide functions such as encryption and security, data compression, or data processing. Our Processing Units can be provided as a standalone box, or as a board to be integrated in your own enclosure. DSI Data Processing Units provide powerful and reliable data processing anywhere in your data chain. Primarily based on FPGAs, our Processing Units deliver highly performant and power efficient data processing to any spacecraft. They offer efficient and powerful FPGA based data processing, a fully customizable FPGA processing feature-set, compression, encryption, cloud detection, and single point failure free design. DSI Data Processing Units are very flexible, and use modern, secure FPGAs to deliver efficient data processing for spacecraft big and small. They feature modern and secure FPGAs (Microsemi and Xilinx), customizable internal memory (RAM, NAND Flash, etc), fully customizable data interfaces, low power consumption, and small volume and mass. Available as a fully independent unit in an enclosure, ready to be integrated in your spacecraft, or as a board level product to be integrated into your existing enclosure (i.e. cPCI-SS). Future capabilities include significantly faster data processing with flexible Versal Architecture.
