About
The Dhruva Space Satellite Orbital Deployers (DSOD) are indigenously developed, non-pyrotechnic separation systems for deploying CubeSats and nanosatellites from launch vehicles. The DSOD family covers 1U, 3U, 6U, 12U, and 16U CubeSat configurations and has been space-qualified through multiple missions aboard ISRO’s PSLV: DSOD-1U on PSLV-C53 (June 2022) and DSOD-3U/6U on PSLV-C55 (April 2023). Key features include a non-pyrotechnic Hold-Down and Release Mechanism (HDRM), onboard telemetry sensors for deployment confirmation and ejection velocity measurement, and compatibility with multiple CubeSat form factors. Each unit is pre-qualified, pre-assembled (mechanically and electrically), and ready for spacecraft integration.
