About
DPhi Space (formerly known as Dhruva Space) is an Indian commercial space company providing smallsat bus platforms, launch services aggregation, and end-to-end satellite mission services. Headquartered in Hyderabad, India, DPhi Space is one of India’s early-mover private satellite companies, enabled by India’s 2020 space sector liberalization policies.
The company develops 3U–12U CubeSat and small satellite bus platforms in the 3–100 kg mass range, providing complete satellite systems for technology demonstration, Earth observation, IoT/communications, and scientific missions. DPhi Space also operates its own satellite constellation and provides ground segment services including TT&C (telemetry, tracking and command) support through its ground network.
DPhi Space has achieved the landmark of launching its own satellite on ISRO’s PSLV-C53 mission in 2022, becoming one of the first Indian private companies to own and operate an on-orbit satellite. The company has partnerships with international satellite component suppliers and builds on India’s growing NewSpace ecosystem supported by IN-SPACe (Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre).
