About
The DOG-DA Free Space Optical Detector is a fibre-coupled optical detector specifically engineered for the reception of optical free space communication signals. It incorporates a highly responsive InGaAs avalanche photodiode (APD) with a fibre-coupled input, ensuring efficient signal acquisition. The detector’s amplified and limited output makes it particularly suitable for receiving hard decision on-off-keying signals. Housed in a standard 19-inch rack mount, the unit offers both a front panel user interface and network access via SNMP and HTTP interfaces, facilitating seamless integration into existing satellite ground station infrastructures. This product is part of the A-Series Digital Optical Groundstation (DOG) suite and is designed for space applications.
