About
The EnerSys ABSL Li-ion Space Battery is a proven rechargeable lithium-ion energy storage solution for space missions, successfully powering spacecraft since 2000. Available in a wide range of capacities from 8.4 Ah (small shoebox-sized) to 448 Ah (large microwave oven-sized), the ABSL battery supports platform and payload power systems as well as pre-deployment energy requirements for solar arrays. Applications include short-term repositioning energy requirements and high-current demands such as pyrotechnic system actuation. Heritage includes the first Li-ion battery in orbit, missions to Mars and Venus, and NASA’s Parker Solar Probe. Suitable for SmallSat/CubeSat new space missions through to large multi-module configurations for cornerstone space agency programmes.
