The XO-VAC is a low-cost, desktop thermal vacuum chamber developed by Exobotics to simulate the extreme environmental conditions of space. It exposes payloads to high vacuum across a wide temperature range, making it suitable for TVAC testing, which is considered crucial for hardware designers and users in the space industry. This all-in-one solution aims to address customer problems by offering a significantly cheaper alternative to external TVAC facility rentals or larger, more widely available systems. By eliminating lead times and high testing costs, Exobotics intends to increase engineers’ confidence in their systems. The XO-VAC is marketed as the only low-cost, portable, compact, low-maintenance solution on the market, providing a personal test facility for rapid iterations through the product lifecycle. Customization is offered as standard. It is engineered with aerospace-grade materials and ultra-high vacuum rated components, with maintenance, service, and support readily available. Applications include component verification, failure mode analysis, temperature drift compensation, thermal management system performance analysis, subsystem and platform level testing, RT vacuum applications, outgassing/contamination assessment, load balancing of processing units, quality control of manufactured products, nanosatellite bake-out, qualification, and acceptance testing, and thermal vacuum cycling of payloads and satellites. The system offers seamless plug-and-play operation, supporting increased productivity.
