About

HyNOx Propulsion Systems is ISPTech’s integrated propulsion offering, combining HyNOx thrusters with propellant tanks, a feed system with sensors, pressure relief components, a fill and drain interface, mission-specific structural mounts, an electronic control unit (ECU), and heaters. The system is developed, tested and supplied by ISPTech for a range of spacecraft and missions, with a demonstrator currently under testing and ongoing customer projects. ISPTech’s capabilities include thruster acceptance testing and derivation of performance models, propulsion system integration and experimental characterisation, system and tank condition modeling, fueling, CAD design and feeding system layout, and on-site AIT (assembly, integration and testing) support. Impulse class ranges from CubeSat propulsion systems up to 5,000 Ns, with customized propulsion systems available starting from 5,000 Ns. The system can incorporate different thruster classes: HyNOx-200 (50-400 N), HyNOx-22 (11-44 N), HyNOx-5 (2.5-10 N), HyNOx-1 (0.5-2.0 N), as well as cold gas thrusters. Performance reaches up to 290 s specific impulse for hot gas operation and up to 60 s for cold gas operation. Thrusters are operable across a saturated fluid temperature range of -29°C to +32°C, with system survivability temperature range customizable to mission needs. Propellant feeding can be configured as liquid or gaseous depending on mission requirements.
