The MIL-DTL-38999 Series III circular connector employs triple-start thread coupling with an anti-decoupling mechanism, making it highly resistant to vibration-induced unmating. This is the most widely used 38999 series in demanding aerospace and defense applications.
The anti-decoupling feature ensures reliable mating under extreme vibration and shock conditions, meeting requirements of aircraft, missiles, and space launch vehicle applications. Shell sizes use letter designators from A (09) through J (25).
