About
The Power and Propulsion Element (PPE) is a high-power, solar electric propulsion spacecraft element built on the IM-1300 platform. Initially designed for NASA’s Gateway lunar space station, Intuitive Machines is committed to NASA’s vision of repurposing PPE to serve as the centerpiece of the U.S. flagship mission to Mars as the SR-1 Freedom nuclear electric propulsion element. The PPE features large solar arrays and a robust electric propulsion system for maneuver-intensive missions in cislunar space and beyond.
