About
Spectrolab’s Laser Power Converters (LPC) are designed for optimal conversion of monochromatic laser light. The most common devices are multijunction GaAs devices, specifically optimized for NIR lasers. Additionally, metamorphic InGaAs PV convertors are available, catering to lasers with output wavelengths ranging from 900-1600 nm. The product line includes a 2V Dual junction GaAs LPC, optimized for an 810 nm wavelength laser, featuring a 1.5 mm diameter active area and a 50-55% conversion efficiency. Another offering is the 6V Dual junction GaAs LPC, which is a monolithic power device consisting of two cells in series, with a 3 mm diameter active area and a 30-35% conversion efficiency. These LPCs are crucial for power conversion applications in various space-related systems.
