About
SWIRSAT is a Short-Wave Infrared (SWIR) satellite constellation operated by LC60, designed to deliver decision-grade intelligence to governments, defence forces, and various industries across the Indo-Pacific and beyond. Unlike traditional optical satellites, SWIRSAT is not blinded by smoke, haze, or camouflage. Its SWIR technology allows it to pierce obscurants, detect material signatures invisible to standard sensors, and provide persistent intelligence through smoke, dust, and degraded visibility, which are critical conditions for decision-making. For defence, intelligence, and dual-use customers, SWIR acts as a crucial confirmation and discrimination layer, bridging the gap between optical and thermal imaging to reduce uncertainty. The services offered by SWIRSAT include sovereign defence intelligence, national-scale agriculture monitoring, carbon and climate verification, and oil, gas & resources monitoring. LC60 controls the entire intelligence stack, from satellite design and manufacture in Australia (Perth) to data delivery. This includes onboard compute for reduced downlink latency and processing, AI analytics to transform SWIR imagery into decision-grade intelligence, and sovereign delivery options like direct downlink and on-premises processing, designed to operate within Five Eyes, NATO, and Indo-Pacific governance frameworks. Specific applications include AI-driven ISR analytics for defence, satellite-based farm monitoring and digital agronomy for national agriculture, digital monitoring, reporting and verification (MRV) for carbon credit programmes, and satellite-based methane monitoring, emissions verification, and infrastructure surveillance for the energy sector.
