Leidos (formerly Leidos Holdings, Inc. — NYSE: LDOS) is one of the United States’ largest defense and technology companies with a major space division providing mission systems integration, ground segment development, and classified satellite program support. With over $15 billion in annual revenue, Leidos supports major US government customers including NRO (National Reconnaissance Office), Space Force, NSA, and NASA.

Leidos Space programs include leading integration work on DARPA’s Blackjack constellation — a DARPA demonstration program to develop responsive, affordable MILSATCOM using commercial LEO satellite technology rather than exquisite GEO assets. Leidos also provides satellite ground systems, mission data processing infrastructure, and command-and-control systems for both intelligence community and DoD space programs.

In the commercial space sector, Leidos supports NASA mission operations including ground data systems for science missions and Deep Space Network (DSN) infrastructure maintenance. The company’s space division employs thousands of cleared engineers and operators, with facilities concentrated around Reston VA, San Diego CA, and other government contractor hubs. Leidos is a Lockheed Martin spinoff (2013) and has grown through acquisitions including the Lockheed Martin IS&GS division.
