About
DARUMA Micro is Letara’s hybrid propulsion unit, using solid HDPE (high-density polyethylene) fuel and N2O oxidizer, developed jointly with Hokkaido University’s Laboratory of Space Systems. It targets rideshare satellites that need to travel beyond their drop-off orbit, supporting orbit transfers, orbital adjustment via integrated cold-gas nozzles and a re-ignitable main engine, and deorbit for debris removal or sample return missions. The system is manufactured using scalable 3D-printing techniques and supplied as a complete hardware set including combustors, piping, tanks, a simple CPU, and batteries, with optional exterior wall panels and attitude control devices.
