About
The Li Hong-2 (PH-2) is a cutting-edge reusable spacecraft developed by CAS Space, designed to make space travel accessible to a wider audience. With a height of 18 meters and a diameter of 3.35 meters, this spacecraft has a lift-off mass of 60 tons. It is engineered for suborbital flights, reaching a lift-off height of no less than 100 km and providing a microgravity duration of at least 180 seconds. A key feature of the PH-2 is its reusability, capable of at least 30 flights, significantly reducing the cost of access to space. It boasts a capacity to transport either 3 tons of cargo or 7 persons, making it versatile for both scientific missions and space tourism. The spacecraft incorporates high-reliability environmental control and life support systems, along with a safe escape system. Its recovery system includes parachute deployment and soft landing capabilities, ensuring the safe return of both crew and cargo. The PH-2 is also designed with the potential for simulating lunar and Martian gravity environments for future extraterrestrial exploration.
