About

Argotec is targeting Mars for its next cutting-edge constellation, Mars Comm Nav, which aims to transform Mars exploration with an advanced communication and navigation infrastructure. This constellation is designed to create the conditions for advanced exploration of the Red Planet, paving the way for humanity’s first woman and man on Mars. Telecommunications are a crucial factor in increasing the number of missions and ensuring their success. Mars Comm Nav is the Martian infrastructure that Argotec has envisioned to enable effective communication between Earth and Mars. The constellation consists of 18 satellites in a Walker-like configuration in six orbital planes, with three nominal satellites and one spare per plane, for a total of 24 satellites. Communication bands include S-band and K-band for Mars users, and Ka-band for communication with the relay satellite and ground stations on Earth. A relay satellite positioned at the Sun-Mars L1 Lagrangian point provides high data rate transmission to Earth. Finally, pseudolites on Mars provide clock updates and navigation synchronization, enhancing the accuracy of the constellation. With Mars Comm Nav, Argotec is paving the way for a new era of Mars exploration, making Mars an achievable goal.
