About

Tachi is Masten’s 6,000 lbf thrust reusable liquid-propellant rocket engine, built with PermiAM — Masten’s patent-pending additive manufacturing method that enables fewer parts, lower costs, and improved performance. The engine features deep throttling capability and a low-mass design, running on liquid oxygen/liquid methane propellants at a higher, more efficient specific impulse. Tachi is expandable to multi-engine configurations sharing a single turbopump and gas generator, and is used to power the Xogdor vehicle.
