About
The MIL-C-5015 series is a range of military standard circular connectors. These connectors are available in various shell types including wall mounting receptacle (3100), in-line receptacle (3101), box mounting receptacle (3102), straight plug (3106), and elbow plug (3108). They offer different service classes such as A (solid shell, solder contacts, non-pressurized), B (split shell, solder contacts, non-pressurized), E (environmental), F (R with clamp), and R (solder contacts with grommet seal and without clamp). The connectors feature aluminum alloy shells with olive drab cadmium or zinc plating, synthetic rubber insulators, and copper alloy contacts with silver plating. Gaskets and grommets are made of synthetic rubber. They are designed to operate in a temperature range of -55°C to +125°C and offer sealing under 6 feet of water for 48 hours per MIL-DTL-5015, 4.6.19, and meet 20 days extreme humidity testing. They have a durability of ≥ 100 cycles and are resistant to salt spray (MIL-STD-1344 method 1001, condition B, ≥ 48 hours for Cadmium plating), heat (+125°C for 60 hours; +85°C for 1000 hours), and chemical exposure to hydraulic fluid or lubricating oil for 20 hours. They can withstand vibration from 10 to 2000Hz at 10 g’s acceleration and shock at 50g acceleration. Various contact sizes (16, 12, 8, 4, 0) are available, each with specified contact resistance, test current, and potential drop.
