MultiCore Plus MathPack Scientific Libraries

MultiCore Plus MathPack Scientific Libraries are designed to exploit optimized and portable scientific libraries, delivering the greatest performance achievable from processors for signal, image, and data processing applications. Mercury’s scientific algorithm library (SAL) is a collection of over 800 functions that provide high-performance through the use of all processor resources. The MultiCore Plus® MathPack bundles the latest MultiCore SAL (MC SAL), MultiCore Vector Signal Image Processing Library (MC VSIPL), SAL, VSIPL single-core libraries, and a “C” language implementation of SAL (CSAL). These libraries offer high-performance for signal, image, and data processing, featuring field-proven APIs that reduce product lifecycle costs and time to market. They support heterogeneous computation resources, such as CPUs and GPUs, within a single application, utilizing multiple processor cores for processing-intensive tasks. This enhanced processor utilization enables high throughput and low latency, providing a seamless upgrade path for existing single-core SAL applications. An open-source version is also available for rapid development and independent customization.
