NanoCom AX100 is a highly compact and versatile half-duplex software configurable radio transceiver, available in two UHF bands specifically designed for long-range transmissions. Supporting diverse missions, NanoCom AX100’s modular design allows for hot or cold redundancy applications, supported by common interfaces for seamless integration. The radio module supports full on-orbit reconfiguration of the frequency, bitrate, filter-bandwidth, and modulation type. Smart CSMA/CA (listen before talk) medium access control combined with a small RX/TX switching duration gives a short satellite ping time, removing the need for full-duplex radios, simplifying the satellite design by using only a single antenna. It features a modular design allowing flexible frequency configurations and offers UHF Low (395-405 MHz) and UHF (430-440 MHz) frequency options with data rates from 0.1 kbps to 38.4 kbps. The device supports on-orbit RF adjustments in 1 Hz steps for carrier frequency and GFSK/GMSK Modulation Options. Interfaces include I2C, UART, CAN-Bus, GOSH, and CSP networking, ensuring compatibility with GOSH and CSP networking for streamlined communication and seamless integration with NanoDock.
