Dynamics & Acoustics Testing

Element U.S. Space & Defense offers advanced dynamics and acoustics testing to determine whether motorized and structural products withstand real-world pressure, noise, vibration, and mechanical forces. Core testing types include acceleration, acoustic noise, impact, corrosion, vibration, shock, drop, and materials fatigue testing, along with HALT/HASS/HATS accelerated life testing. Specialized capabilities include bird strike simulation at speeds up to 400 mph, thermal shock, and mechanical shock testing (pyro-shock, shipboard, lightweight and medium-weight shock). The lab is equipped with centrifuges from 1 to 62 feet in diameter, tandem shakers generating up to 70,000 force pounds, drop towers reaching 80 feet, and a 5,000 cubic foot reverberation chamber housed in a Class 100K (ISO Class 8) clean room.
