NuSpace's NuLink is a LoRaWAN LEO IoT satellite constellation (NuLink-1/2 operational since May 2026, ~597 km SSO) enabling direct sensor-to-satellite IoT for GPS trackers, carbon monitors, livestock and hiker safety across Southeast Asia and beyond — no terrestrial gateway required.

About
NuLink is NuSpace’s commercial LoRaWAN IoT satellite constellation, designed to provide direct-to-satellite IoT connectivity for low-power sensors and trackers operating in areas with no terrestrial network coverage. Two commercial satellites, NuLink-1 and NuLink-2, launched May 3, 2026 on a SpaceX Falcon 9 from Vandenberg Air Force Base and are operational in sun-synchronous orbit at approximately 597 km altitude, 97.7° inclination. The constellation supports a ‘deploy and forget’ model — IoT devices transmit standard LoRaWAN packets directly to the satellite without any local gateway, relay, or network reconfiguration, making it ideal for remote, low-power field deployments. Antennas on NuLink satellites are 3D-printed from space-grade PEEK filament using additive manufacturing, consolidating 29 parts into 11 and achieving approximately 300% cost reduction versus conventional antenna fabrication. Target applications include GPS asset tracking, tree-mounted carbon sequestration monitoring sensors, livestock tracking, and hiker SOS beacons across Southeast Asia. NuLink is the commercial successor to NuSpace’s technology demonstrators NuX-1 (launched January 2022, re-entered April 2023) and NuLIoN (launched July 2023, re-entered October 2024). NuSpace was founded in 2018 in Singapore as a university spin-off and targets 90%+ of Earth’s surface not served by terrestrial networks with an eventual 70+ satellite constellation.
