About
Omnispace’s IoT connectivity service delivers always-on global coverage for IoT devices requiring tracking, monitoring, or telemetry regardless of terrestrial infrastructure availability. The service is based on 5G NB-IoT over Omnispace’s NGSO satellite constellation using 3GPP standard protocols, so existing NB-IoT device ecosystems can connect with minimal modification. Target verticals include agriculture, energy exploration and operations, automated supply chain management, aquaculture and fishing, natural resources monitoring, and government/defense asset tracking. In May 2025, Omnispace demonstrated 5G NB-IoT over NGSO satellites in collaboration with Gatehouse Satcom and Nordic Semiconductor, a global first.
