About
Optus 10 is an Australian geostationary communications satellite operated by Optus, built by Space Systems/Loral (SSL) on the LS-1300 satellite bus. It launched on 11 September 2014 aboard an Ariane 5 ECA rocket from the Guiana Space Centre in Kourou, French Guiana, and is co-located with Optus C1 and Optus D3 at 156°E. Optus 10 carries Ku-band transponder capacity delivering high-quality broadcast services to households and two-way voice and data communications across Australia and New Zealand.
