Messenger
Messenger is a plug-and-play optical communication module designed for satellites to create a scalable, attitude-independent optical mesh network in space.
About
Messenger is an innovative plug-and-play module developed by OutThere to address the growing congestion of ground radio stations and the limitations of traditional satellite communication. It enables satellites to form a scalable optical mesh network, allowing for attitude-independent operations and reducing reliance on ground coverage. This system aims to provide constant communication for satellites, especially for mega-constellations, without the bottlenecks of limited transfer speeds or the need for extensive pre-planning. The module is designed to facilitate rapid communication with spacecraft, offering a link within seconds anytime, anywhere. The company’s roadmap indicates ground testing and initial market entry in 2024, with flight heritage and early delivery planned for 2025.
