The CubeSat Thruster is a compact and capable cold gas propulsion system (CPS) designed for CubeSats. It utilizes refrigerant-based propellants (R236fa), offering excellent storage density, low leakage, and safe handling. The system is an all-in-one solution, integrating all electronics, the thruster nozzle, valves, and heaters within the tank, minimizing space requirements on the bus. It requires only power and command signals from the CubeSat. The system is designed for low power consumption, consuming less than 15 W during initial heating (at 273 K) and under 5 W during operation (at 298 K), thanks to thermal insulation and low-radiation surface treatments. It is available in two configurations, 0.8U and 2U, providing different thrust levels, total impulse, and delta-v capabilities for 10 kg buses.
