Space Mission Services
Microspace provides comprehensive end-to-end services for space missions, from initial concept and design to satellite development, launch, and in-orbit operations.
About
Microspace offers a complete suite of services for space missions, encompassing planning, technology research, satellite development, launch arrangements, and in-orbit operations. Their planning phase involves defining detailed requirements and evaluating the entire mission effort to reach orbit successfully and deliver valuable results. They specialize in creating new technologies to fill gaps or significantly reduce costs, with a focus on satellite miniaturization to achieve performance comparable to or better than much larger satellites. For satellite development, Microspace handles architecture definition, design, building, and testing in-house, utilizing both Off-the-Shelf components and custom-built parts, circuits, algorithms, and code. They also accompany satellites to launch and perform in-orbit commissioning and operations. Launch services include arranging the launch, managing licensing and contractual obligations, conducting final checks at the launch site, and integrating satellites onto the rocket. Post-launch, Microspace provides satellite operations, contacting satellites via their ground station, checking health, telecommanding experiments and mission operations, maintaining software, and performing orbit corrections for collision avoidance or mission optimization. Their process involves an ‘Idea’ phase to define necessary subsystems and components, a ‘Design’ phase with preliminary and critical design milestones, a ‘Develop’ phase for building, assembling, and testing, and an ‘In Space’ phase for managing the mission and processing data for end-users. They can support missions ranging from simple applications to complete spacecraft constellations.
