About

Bellatrix Aerospace’s Pushpak Orbital Transfer Vehicle (OTV) is a key component in enhancing launch options for rideshare customers, particularly in collaboration with NSIL. This partnership aims to integrate the Pushpak OTV into NSIL’s launch missions, enabling more complex space missions involving multi-orbit deployment sequences, inclination change, GEO transfer missions, and future deep space missions. The Pushpak OTV addresses the challenges of accommodating multiple customer payloads on a single launch vehicle due to varied mission requirements, which often force satellite operators to wait for favorable launch opportunities or opt for expensive dedicated launches. Bellatrix Aerospace offers two models for its OTV solutions: Deployment as a Service and Hosting as a Service. The Deployment model accelerates the launch process, allowing satellite operators to generate revenue faster. The Hosting service caters to those who cannot afford an entire satellite bus for scientific or technology experiments, as the OTV is designed to function as a satellite itself, hosting third-party payloads, significantly reducing costs for payload owners while ensuring mission success.
