About
SiREUS is Safran Electronics Defense inertial reference unit based on hemispherical resonator gyroscope (HRG) technology. HRG gyroscopes have no moving parts, providing extremely long operational life and high reliability in the space environment. SiREUS provides three-axis angular rate and attitude data for satellite attitude and orbit control systems (AOCS), with heritage on commercial and scientific satellites.
