The Fengyun-4 (FY-4) series are second-generation Chinese geostationary meteorological satellites developed by SAST, providing high-resolution multispectral visible and infrared imaging, atmospheric temperature and humidity profiling, and lightning detection. FY-4 satellites serve China National Meteorological Centre and are shared via WMO for global weather forecasting.
