About
AIRSAT-08 is a follow-on satellite in AIRSAT Technology Group’s remote-sensing constellation, launched in December 2024. It combines a dual-polarization Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) payload with a low-light optical imaging payload on a single smallsat bus, enabling all-weather, day-and-night Earth observation for applications such as marine environment monitoring, land resource surveys, and disaster emergency response. The dual-payload design extends AIRSAT’s SAR-only heritage from AIRSAT-01/02 toward combined radar-optical tasking.
