Satellogic EO Constellation
Satellogic operates one of the world’s largest commercial very-high-resolution Earth observation constellations, with 40+ satellites in orbit providing 70–90 cm multispectral optical imagery. Each ÑuSat satellite (the primary constellation satellite) weighs approximately 45 kg and carries both a multispectral camera (70 cm resolution, 4 bands) and a hyperspectral payload (providing sub-nm spectral resolution across 300+ […]

About
Satellogic operates one of the world’s largest commercial very-high-resolution Earth observation constellations, with 40+ satellites in orbit providing 70–90 cm multispectral optical imagery. Each ÑuSat satellite (the primary constellation satellite) weighs approximately 45 kg and carries both a multispectral camera (70 cm resolution, 4 bands) and a hyperspectral payload (providing sub-nm spectral resolution across 300+ bands).
Satellogic’s unique proposition is the combination of high-resolution optical with hyperspectral data — while competitors like Planet Labs offer higher revisit at lower resolution, Satellogic provides both spectral richness and sufficient spatial resolution for applications including crop health monitoring (detecting disease/stress at individual plant level), mineral exploration, infrastructure monitoring, and military target characterization.
Headquartered in Montevideo, Uruguay (with major offices in Buenos Aires and the US), Satellogic sells data through government deals (including a major contract with the Saudi Arabian space program) and commercial subscriptions. The company went public via SPAC in 2022 and has strategic backing from SoftBank and other institutional investors.
