About
The Taurus 3U is Satoro’s standardized small satellite platform for commercial, academic, and government CubeSat missions. The bus accommodates up to 2,000 g and 2U volume of customer payload, delivering up to 40 W peak power and 18 W continuous average power to the payload. Energy is stored in a 35 Wh battery with 12 W orbital average total generation. Communications are provided by S-Band downlink at 4.3 Mbps and UHF/VHF uplink at 9.6 kbps. The attitude determination and control system achieves less than 1° pointing accuracy, 1° knowledge, 0.01°/s stability, and 10°/s maneuver rate. GPS provides orbit knowledge better than 1 km. Standard digital interfaces include UART, I2C, CAN, and SPI. Satoro has launched five missions on the Taurus platform: LILIUM-1 (Q4 2022, remote sensing/IoT/edge compute), IRIS-C (Q2 2023, star tracker and deployable solar panel demo), Taurus-1 (Q4 2023), an academic mission (Q1 2024), and SATORO-T2 (Q3 2024, video streaming, cybersecurity, and IoT demos). All missions launched to SSO via Exolaunch. Satoro is an ISISPACE Regional Distributor for South-East Asia and provides turnkey satellite services including design, assembly, integration, testing, launch management, and on-orbit operations through the StarCast mission control platform. Satoro Pte Ltd is based in Singapore.
