About

The VaultIC408 is SEALSQ Corp’s commercial secure element (secure microcontroller) designed for IoT device identity, authentication, and post-quantum cryptographic operations. The chip is certified to Common Criteria EAL5+ and FIPS 140-3 Level 3 (CMVP validated) — among the highest tamper-resistance certifications available for an embedded cryptographic component. It supports ECC up to 572-bit keys, AES symmetric encryption, SHA-256/384/512 hashing, ECDSA (FIPS 186-4), and ECDH key exchange, with a 16 kB user file system for key and credential storage. Operating from 1.62 V to 5.5 V across an extended -40°C to +105°C industrial temperature range, the VaultIC408 is packaged in either SOIC8 (8.0 × 5.2 × 2.0 mm) or QFN20 (4.0 × 4.0 × 0.75 mm) form factors. The device is compatible with AWS IoT, Azure IoT Hub, WolfSSL, and mBedTLS TLS stacks. The VaultIC408 is the primary security chip embedded in WISeSat IoT endpoints and gateways, where it enforces device authentication and encrypted uplink/downlink communications using post-quantum cryptography. Available for purchase directly and via DigiKey (development kit). SEALSQ Corp (NASDAQ: LAES) is a subsidiary of WISeKey International (Geneva, Switzerland).
