About
WISeSat.Space is WISeKey International’s LEO satellite IoT connectivity service, operated in commercial partnership with SEALSQ Corp (NASDAQ: LAES) — WISeKey’s semiconductor subsidiary — for post-quantum secure communications. The constellation uses FOSSA Systems’ PocketQube and 3U CubeSat satellite platforms in near-polar sun-synchronous orbits at 450–600 km altitude, employing LoRa (Long Range) LPWAN radio protocol at UHF frequencies (915/868 MHz ISM; ~435 MHz licensed band). Each satellite contact window provides store-and-forward data delivery of up to 80-byte packets at approximately 300 bps; with 21 satellites deployed (as of mid-2026), customer devices receive more than 10 daily pass windows. The target 100-satellite constellation will reduce average latency from the current store-and-forward regime toward near-real-time delivery. All messages are 100% encrypted using post-quantum cryptography algorithms CRYSTALS-Kyber (ML-KEM) and CRYSTALS-Dilithium (ML-DSA), implemented in SEALSQ’s QS7001 Quantum Shield RISC-V secure processor and VaultIC408 secure elements embedded in the IoT endpoints. A companion Quantum Key Distribution proof-of-concept satellite (WISeSat 2.1) launched in June 2025. Service is offered under a SataaS (Satellite-as-a-Service) model including satellite platform, launch, ground station services, and IoT node provisioning. Launch milestones include SpaceX Falcon 9 flights in January 2025, June 2025, and December 2025.
