The 2P VibePOD is an open source vibration test fixture developed following the success of the 1P Vibe POD. It is used to qualify a Payload Qualification (PQ) unit during vibration testing, providing a standardized mechanical interface to hold a 2P-format payload/unit on a vibration shaker table. The pod includes an adapter plate that interfaces the pod to the customer’s vibrating table; this adapter plate can be redesigned or modified to meet the specific interface requirements of the customer’s shaker table. The product is documented via an Interface Control Document (2P VibePOD ICD) available as a downloadable PDF. As of the page’s publication, the 2P VibePOD had not yet flown or been qualified on a mission (first mission listed as awaiting qualification).
