About this service
The Alpha launch service provides dedicated access to Low Earth Orbit (LEO) and Sun-Synchronous Orbit (SSO) for small satellites. This service leverages Firefly’s Alpha rocket, which is described as flight-proven and the only operational U.S. rocket in the 1,000 kg class. Firefly is actively ramping up production of the Alpha rocket. Upcoming missions for Alpha include launches for Lockheed Martin, the U.S. Space Force, and NASA. The company is also developing a scaled-up, reusable version of Alpha called Eclipse in collaboration with Northrop Grumman, which will be capable of delivering 16,000 kg to orbit.
