Lynk offers direct-to-device connectivity services by building, launching, and operating ‘cell-tower-in-space’ satellites. This system provides continuous global coverage, allowing mobile network operators (MNOs) to extend their services to areas without terrestrial mobile coverage. The service enables existing mobile phones to connect directly to satellites, facilitating two-way commercial and emergency messaging, and is scaling to provide broadband speeds. This addresses the problem of ‘0G’ coverage black spots, connecting people everywhere, including the 1 billion who currently lack reliable mobile service.
