Glavkosmos participates in rideshare launches using the Soyuz-2.1b rocket equipped with a Fregat upper stage. Launches are conducted from the Vostochny Cosmodrome. For example, on November 5, 2024, a Soyuz-2.1b launched from Site 1C at Vostochny Cosmodrome with the Fregat upper stage, carrying Ionosfera-M heliophysical satellites No.1 and No.2, along with 49 rideshare Russian and four foreign small satellites under Glavkosmos contracts. This launch set a new record for the simultaneous launch of 51 Russian spacecraft. Another instance on June 27, 2023, saw a Soyuz-2.1b with a Fregat upper stage launch from Vostochny Cosmodrome, successfully injecting the Meteor-M No. 2-3 satellite as the main payload and 42 small spacecraft as a rideshare payload into orbit. All satellites were launched into target orbits.
