This process involves creating a requirement matrix that details the spacecraft’s intended mission, operational environment, target orbit, specific tasks, performance capabilities (power, propulsion, communication), size, weight, and structural requirements. This matrix serves as a reference for choosing suitable satellite subsystems, including components like sensors, actuators, and control systems, to ensure the spacecraft meets customer needs and successfully completes its mission.
