Space Challenge Educational Program

Ideia Space

Ideia Space offers an educational program, Space Challenge, that guides students through the process of designing, building, and launching real satellites, fostering skills in STEM and teamwork.

About this service

The Space Challenge is a practical educational journey designed for students from Middle School to Higher Education. It connects them to a real space mission through interdisciplinary challenges and hands-on projects. Students develop skills in science, technology, engineering, and teamwork by designing, programming, and operating an educational satellite. The program is structured in three progressive phases: Space Mission Concept and Design, Project Concept and Design (using an Educational Satellite Kit), and Orbital Satellite and Launch, where selected teams develop, integrate, test, and monitor the operation of a real orbital satellite after launch. The methodology is based on Project-Based Learning (PBL) and a ‘Hands On’ concept.
