Testing of star sensors (star trackers)

The OSI enables high-resolution direct mapping of celestial bodies (e.g., stars, moons, planets) and dynamic scenarios onto the star sensor, facilitating direct end-to-end testing of all relevant functions and parameters in dynamic mode. The OSPS is a robust optical test system that statically shows a real star pattern, available in variants for ambient and thermal vacuum conditions. These systems support basic functional testing and optimal alignment of star trackers at the satellite level, including alignment measurements during integration.
