Thermal-mechanical testing
ThermAvant performs empirical verification of designs' powers, temperatures, flow rates, and structural integrity in simulated real-world environments.
About this service
ThermAvant provides thermal-mechanical testing services to empirically verify the performance and structural integrity of designs. This includes assessing powers, temperatures, and flow rates in simulated real-world environments. They utilize a variety of testing equipment such as dozens of thermal test stations with DAQs, programmable power supplies, resistance heaters, and cold plates. They also have heat pipe life testing stands, thermoelectric characterization stands, thermal vacuum test chambers, a closed-loop wind tunnel, an electronics cooling air flow bench, variable 1-g tilt tables, hydrostatic pressure test stands, and a thermal-imaging infrared camera. Their facilities also include a metallography station and a high-temperature “liquid metal” OHP test stand, all supported by an ISO9001/AS9100D quality assurance department.
