<p>Founded in 1998 in Hachioji, Tokyo, ADDNICS corp. (株式会社アドニクス) develops and manufactures wireless communication devices combining high-frequency and digital signal processing technology for the space industry. The company entered the space sector in 1999, supplying radio transmitters for JAXA aurora observation rockets.</p>
<p>ADDNICS achieved its first satellite heritage in 2005 when its S-band telemetry transmitter flew on JAXA's Reimei aurora observation satellite. By 2014, six satellites had launched with ADDNICS communication systems, including SPRITE-SAT (2009), RISING-2 (2014), and an X-band transponder for the deep-space mission Procyon. Their systems have since been deployed on the Philippine microsatellites DIWATA-1 (2016) and DIWATA-2 (2018).</p>
