Cascade Designer
Drag-and-drop link-budget design and simulation tool — RF component library, 3D antenna patterns, CCSDS demodulator modeling, API for trajectory analysis.
Description
Cascade Designer is a drag-and-drop link-budget design and simulation tool featuring a library of generic RF components plus commercially available parts from vendors. It supports 3D antenna patterns, transmitter/attenuator/gain blocks to model RF chains, free-space path loss (Friis equation), the Cascade Array itself with configurable modes/bands and displayed pricing, and demodulators for CCSDS modes computing C/N0, Eb/N0, and margin. It includes team management features and an API for batch analysis of mission trajectories, built on Cascade's open-source Python library for modeling space communications.
