Cascade Designer

Cascade Designer is a software tool for designing and simulating space communications links. Users can design and simulate a link in minutes using a drag-and-drop Cascade Editor, choosing from built-in components or components supplied by third-party vendors. It supports vendor-supplied 3D antenna patterns as well as user-uploaded custom antenna patterns. The tool allows teams to share link budgets across the organization in one central place, replacing scattered spreadsheet files, via built-in Team Management. It also offers API Access: users can create a design checkpoint and then run batch analysis to simulate entire mission trajectories in a single API call, for example by posting a trajectory CSV file to an analyze-timeseries endpoint using an API key and checkpoint UUID, receiving simulation results back as CSV. Cascade Designer is built on top of spacelink, Cascade’s open source library for modeling space communications.
