About Exolaunch

Exolaunch (formerly ECM Space Technologies) is a German space logistics company founded in 2008 and headquartered in Berlin, specializing in orbital deployment services and satellite integration for the small satellite market. The company serves as a key integration and deployment partner for SmallSat rideshare missions on SpaceX Falcon 9, Rocket Lab Electron, and other launch vehicles.

Exolaunch's core product line includes the CarDrop family of orbital deployers — spring-loaded and motorized CubeSat ejectors compatible with 1U to 16U configurations — and the CarRack multi-satellite deployment system for larger rideshare manifests. Their CarRider upper stage provides autonomous orbit-raising and satellite delivery for constellations requiring precise plane separation.

The company handles the full integration workflow from customer payload receipt through pre-launch testing, integration onto the launch vehicle, and on-orbit commissioning support. Exolaunch has deployed over 300 satellites to date for customers including Planet Labs, Spire Global, ICEYE, D-Orbit, and international government agencies.

In 2022, Exolaunch was acquired by Loft Orbital, creating an integrated satellite operations and deployment platform. The company continues to operate independently under its Exolaunch brand.
