About Geespace
Geespace (时空道宇) is a global satellite communications service provider dedicated to the construction and operation of a low Earth orbit (LEO) communication constellation. Founded in 2018 as part of Zhejiang Geely Holding Group, the company is committed to building a globally connected satellite communications network and delivering highly reliable satellite communication services to users worldwide, using a fully autonomous and controllable technology stack and large-scale global operational capabilities.
Geespace independently designs, develops, deploys and operates the GEESATCOM LEO satellite Internet of Things (IoT) constellation. From 2022 to 2025 the company completed six consecutive satellite launch campaigns, achieving full deployment of Phase I of the constellation and 24-hour coverage of roughly 90% of the globe. The company also operates the Geely Satellite Super Factory, a high-volume, automotive-style satellite AIT production line built and commissioned in 2021 with a stated capacity of up to 500 satellites per year.
On the applications side, Geespace provides commercial satellite IoT communication services and hardware (chips, modules, terminals, antennas and handsets) to industries including intelligent connected vehicles, marine fisheries, construction machinery, low-altitude mobility, emergency communications, transportation and logistics, energy, water conservancy, agriculture and forestry. In 2023, together with Zeekr, Geespace brought satellite communication to production passenger vehicles for the first time in China (Zeekr 001 FR), and has since expanded satellite messaging/calling and high-precision positioning services to additional Geely-group vehicle models.
Geespace is led by CEO and scientist Tony Wang (Ph.D.), formerly of Huawei and the Innovation Academy for Microsatellites of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, who previously led development of China's Jiading-1 IoT communication satellite.
