About Infostellar

Infostellar Inc. is a Tokyo-based space infrastructure company and the creator of StellarStation, the world's first cloud-based platform for satellite ground segment services. Founded in January 2016 by CEO Naomi Kurahara and COO Kazuo Ishigame, Infostellar set out to solve two chronic problems in satellite operations at once: operators struggling to find enough ground station contact time, and antenna owners struggling to keep their dishes fully utilized. StellarStation solves both by aggregating independently owned ground stations around the world into a single shared 'network of networks,' accessible to satellite operators through one API integration and one commercial relationship.

Through StellarStation, satellite operators gain on-demand, pay-as-you-go access to S-band, X-band and Ka-band ground stations spanning the globe, without the capital expense of building dedicated infrastructure. Ground station owners, in turn, can list unused antenna time on the platform and earn revenue or credit that can be spent accessing other stations in the network. The company complements the core software platform with technical services (site acquisition, antenna installation, and turnkey ground segment implementation) and a hosting business that has attracted major remote-sensing and satcom customers, including Viasat's Real-Time Earth service at Infostellar's Taiki, Hokkaido site.

Infostellar has built out ground stations and partner sites across Japan (including Taiki in Hokkaido), Ghana, Norway and other locations, and maintains subsidiaries supporting customers in the UK and US. In July 2026, Infostellar became a wholly owned subsidiary of Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, which acquired the company to expand its ground station services for satellite operators and accelerate growth of the broader space industry ecosystem.
